It’s official, EU gets the NES sword DLC
It was only the other day that Nintendo of Europe was teasing that any one who purchases Hyrule Warriors will get some free day one DLC. From the description, we safely assumed that the DLC was the same one that Japan received yesterday, as part of an update. The update implements the ability for players to change the background music, adds a new challenge mode, and adds the sword and shield from the original Legend of Zelda for the NES.
Today, the official Nintendo of Europe twitter account confirmed that the day one DLC will definitely be the same one as mentioned above. Which is pretty great, otherwise there would have been a lot of unhappy Zelda fans missing out on their 8-bit swords.

Hyrule Warriors will release for Wii U in Europe on September 19, 2014, followed by its release in America on September 26, 2014.
If you live in Europe and plan on buying Hyrule Warriors, you can grab 10% off of the price of the digital game via the current Legend of Zelda sale on the Nintendo eShop, which will be happening in stages over the following weeks.
